Graduation was held on Sunday April 26, 2009

at the War Memorial Center.

We had a large group of 83 very happy graduates.

We will unfortunately be out of town for the event,

Spring?

Did I say it was spring yesterday?
So how come the snow this morning on the way to work?

Spring Series

As spring as finally sprung in Milwaukee, I feel the need to start
a new series of spring flowers.
How I would love to imitate this little butterfly and just fly away
to a far off place.

I plan on having these prints on display at the Milwaukee Art Museum
Artist Marketplace on July 25th.
Hope to see you there.

YPS Showcase

Along with Peter Skiba, Paul Moertl and P.J. Boylan, I erected the display of 75 photo prints created by Milwaukee area High School students.
This is called the Youth Photography Showcase.
This year for the 15th time High School students competed and have been honored in this photo competition sponsored by the Wisconsin Chapter of the Photographic Society of America.

5 area High Schools participated in the 2009 version of the Youth Photography Showcase.
Rufus King High School, Marquette University High School, Downtown Institute of Arts and Letters, Pulaski High School and Milwaukee High School of the Arts.

15 of these students will be given certificates for their accomplishments and cash prizes for their exceptional work on Wednesday April 22, 2009.
Award ceremony will begin at 5PM. Students and parents along with educators are invited to be present.
Common Council President Willie Hines will welcome the students and visitors to City Hall.
Recognition from Mayor Tom Barrett will be provided as well.

Pictures are currently on display in the City Hall Rotunda until Friday May 1, 2009.

Please stop by and see the fine work of our young Milwaukee students.

CoPA Exhibit

CoPA's Exhibition last evening was a huge success.
The place was packed.
Thanks to those who stopped down.
It was great chatting with other art lovers.

If you missed it last nite as there were so many
places to choose from, the good news is that it will be open
again today from 11AM to 9PM and Sunday noon to 5PM.

CoPA Photography Exhibit

Peter & Renée will be showing their

Book Publication

Our book, "Milwaukee, Wisconsin, A Photographic Portrait" has been completed and is currently with the publisher.

Our long awaited labor of love appears to be in the final stages.

It will be published and become a reality in 2010.

Art Bar Exhibition

As a result of being selected in the Lifetime Art 2009 competition
in Milwaukee, Peter & Renee Skiba have been asked by Don Krause,
the owner of the Art Bar to exhibit their work.

Don selected 8 landscape paintings by Renee and 4 cityscapes from Peter.

Exhibit will begin on Friday night April 17th, 2009 as part of Gallery Night festivities.

The works will be on display until the end of May 2009.

The Art Bar is located in Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood at
722 East Burleigh Street.

Announcing our latest Photo & Painting exhibit.......

Located 1 block north of I 94 on HWY C

Artists Peter & Renée Skiba will be exhibiting over 30 images from their show
entitled "Milwaukee Reflections".
Many of the photos and paintings are of the Milwaukee area.
These images were taken for our soon to be published book on Milwaukee entitled: "Milwaukee, WI, a Photographic Portrait".

Other images in the exhibit are mainly western landscapes.

Exhibit will be open until April 30, 2009
