Hanging the prints to dry
Preparing for an Art Fair
Today we took another step in the process of
preparing for "Art on the Farm" in Oxford, Wi
for the 4th of July.
Pigmented ink prints will last 100 years under normal conditions.
However we want provide the best product that we can.
Peter is spraying the images with UV and Water protection.
This step in the process will add additional years to our
fine art prints.

"Cousins"
In 2008 Peter & I had a photo shoot with 3 of our nieces and their
extended families. We spent the morning at Whitnall park at the
height of spring color.
It was a pleasure arranging all of the various groupings together.
During the shoot, I was struck by the naturalness and poise of these
2 young ladies. At a time in their lives, when it may be difficult
to have your picture taken, these 2 were very cooperative.
Positioning them in the arm of the tree had both a natural look and
a playful look about it. Climbing trees when they were younger?
Wanting to look older than their years?
A year later, I took the time to paint this portrait.

Jerry Grillo In Concert
On Saturday May 23, 2009 Peter & I went to see Jerry Grillo in his
performance at the Baby Grand Piano Bar in Wauwatosa.
We enjoyed the evening tremendously. It was a good change of
pace for us as we relaxed, listened to music and talked with friends.
During the show, Peter took pictures of Jerry and I promised him
a painted image of himself while performing. Well it has been 2 weeks and
I am finally getting around to posting the painting.
Hope you like it Jerry!
See you soon.

East Castle Reception
On Friday evening June 5th, 2009 Peter & I went to
Eastcastle Place Retirement Community to look at the
images of the artists who won awards at this year's
Lifetime Art Competition.
Peter was one of the 25 displaying his artwork.
After looking at the images on the 2nd floor, we went
to the large meeting area on the first floor for a small
reception. There we were treated to a wide array of
food items including some very decadent sweet treats.
We sat with a group of ladies who reside in the residence.
Had a delightful chat and ended up with a picture that was
taken by Peter.
This painting is my rendition of that image.
We enjoyed ourselves. Hope you did as well ladies!
